History
Established in 1929 by José Amat Sanchiz, the factory specialised in manufacturing shoes for ladies and girls for the domestic market, which was handled by agents.
In 1940 Manuel Amat Pérez joined the company and witnessed a difficult period in Spain forcing him to look for new export markets. Around 1951 the first regular customers were served in France and Switzerland and we also started cooperation with such renowned firms as Bally Suisse, which we have maintained close and excellent business relations with for over 50 years now.
Since those days we have sold many shoes to many different countries because we never liked to depend on just one location or a few customers. Today exports account for 80% of our sales.
In 1976 José Amat and a little later his brother Manuel Amat joined the company; we are now the third generation of the family to work at this factory and share commercial and design duties.
Over this period we have continued to internationalise the brand maintaining extensive cooperation with the likes of DONNA KARAN - BALLY - CAROLINA HERRERA - L.K. BENNETT, to name but a few. Furthermore, we produce and distribute the MAGRIT brand, which is our core business.
